Like cramming for a big test, I’ll share tips on how to get ready for the biggest sewing and embroidery event of the year!
It is October already! How can that be? My recent releases of Santa Buddies (singles so far but look for the set soon!) means that the holiday season is just around the corner. With just over two months until Christmas, are you ready for holiday sewing? These tips will help!
Get organized
Start by getting your sewing room in order. Organize your fabric, threads, and supplies.
Maintain equipment
Has your machine been serviced? How about sharpening scissors? Clean and moisturize your cutting mat, too.
Check supplies
Make sure you have plenty of fabric, thread, needles, stabilizer and, of course, GlitterFlex! Don’t forget about your printer ink and paper. You will need them to print out directions and templates.
Assemble kits
Put fabrics, templates, threads, and stabilizers for each project in plastic zip bags. Then, you can grab kits and sew.
Make a plan
My Holiday Sewing Planner will help you plan your projects and keep on schedule.

Don’t forget to test sew. It’s easy to get in a hurry and skip stitching out a trial run but it is an important part of your embroidery plan.
May your day be blessed with perfect stitches and GlitterFlex!!
