Bunny Buddies GlitterFlex Kitchen Towel

This kitchen project stitches up quickly, just in time for Easter! It's a cute last-minute project to brighten up your home. Bonnie’s adorable Bunny Buddies will bring a smile to anyone’s face. I stitched up a kitchen towel that required very little finishing.

You can always purchase a blank towel to stitch. For this one, I used Moda toweling that you can purchase by the yard. It comes in white, cream, and other vintage styles with colored stripes along the side.

The nice thing about this toweling is that you can cut it to length and the sides are already hemmed.

Since mine was for decorative use, I cut my piece of toweling in a 30-inch length. I folded it in half to find the center for design placement. I folded the half in half and lightly pressed the fold. I did the same, folding the half-piece in half, the other direction, lightly pressing the fold. That gave me the center of the towel front.

Since I floated the towel, I hooped the stabilizer and marked the centering lines on it. That made it so much easier to line up the centering marks on the toweling on the centering marks of the stabilizer. A temporary spray adhesive on the back of the towel helped hold it in place in the hoop until I could baste it in place.

Stitch the design as directed, fusing the GlitterFlex in place after trimming the tack-down stitch. When embroidery is finished, remove excess stabilizer, press, and hem the short edges.

Wishing you and yours many blessings during these trying times. Be safe and keep stitching!
